The Institute of Medical Genetics and Applied Genomics is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in the field of oncogenetics to start as soon as possible. The position is full-time, limited to two years.
The University Hospital of Tübingen is one of the leading university hospitals in Europe contributing to high-performance medicine, research and teaching. More than 10,000 cancer patients are treated every year at the local Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC), which consists of 14 different institutes, the Center for Personalized Medicine and the National Center for Tumor diseases Tübingen. As part of the CCC, the Institute of Medical Genetics and Applied Genomics focuses on the application of Next-Generation Sequencing for tumor genome and transcriptome analysis (available technologies include Illumina NovaSeq X Plus, Oxford Nanopore PromethION) and computational genomics methods. The oncogenetics group uses state-of-the-art tumor methods to analyze tumor profiles (whole exome and genome sequencing), monitor response to treatment (liquid biopsy), predict response to immunotherapy (single-cell RNA sequencing), classify tumor variants using clinical decision support systems, and analyze tumor heterogeneity and immune cell repertoire.
We offer remuneration in accordance with TV-L (collective wage agreement for the Public Service of the German Federal States), severely handicapped persons with equal qualifications are given preferential consideration.
